Malaga - view of famous Malagueta beach
Bargain holidays don’t mean dull destinations or horrible hotels. You can get away to incredible places for less than £329pp.
This week I tasked myself with finding some cheap package holidays for under £300pp. And while this may sound like a challenge already (and I did creep over this limit with one deal), I took it a step further and only picked deals that have an ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’ rating. Just because you’re travelling on a budget, doesn’t mean you can’t have a great trip away!

My first deal this week is this four-night stay in sunny Malaga in September – a great time of year to get away as you can typically enjoy warm summer temperatures without the crowds. Fly from Glasgow and stay at Ilunion Miramar in lively Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.
Ilunion Miramar is an attractive three-star property, with lush grounds filled with palm trees and an enormous pool surrounded by plenty of loungers. This is a self-catering stay, so you get a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette to cook your meals as well as a balcony or terrace.
You can walk to the beach in about 20 minutes, and a bus will take you to central Fuengirola in around ten minutes. There’s also a shopping centre five minutes’ walk from the hotel, where you can find a supermarket for your meal supplies, alongside a cinema and even a go-karting track if you’re looking for some entertainment.
This deal will cost you from just £279 per person, which is fantastic value for a four-night stay in the sun.
The details: Four nights at Ilunion Miramar, Malaga on a self-catering basis from £279pp based on two sharing. Flights from Glasgow on 20 September.

My second deal of the week will see you jet off to Sharm El Sheikh in January and stay at the four-star Jaz Neo Sharks Bay. Temperatures can climb above 20⁰C degrees in January, making it a brilliant spot for some winter sun.
And if the price tag, winter warmth and a four-star hotel isn’t tempting enough, you’ll be staying on an all-inclusive basis! You’ll dine on local and international dishes at the buffet restaurant, and sip drinks from the lounge and poolside bars.
There’s a spacious main pool and most rooms come with a private balcony or terrace. You’ll have access to a private beach close to the hotel, so you can stroll down for a dip in the dazzling Red Sea, while the shops, restaurants and nightlife of vibrant Naama Bay are just a 15-minute drive away.
Incredibly, this deal will cost you from only £299pp, an astonishing price for an ill-inclusive, winter sun escape.
The details: Five nights at Jaz Neo Sharks Bay, Sharm El Sheikh on an all-inclusive basis from £299pp based on two sharing. Flights from London Luton on 12 January.

And for my final deal this week, we have another all-inclusive adventure – this time for just a few pounds more than the £300 target I set.
Flying from Liverpool, this deal is for seven nights at Avena Resort & Spa Hotel in Antalya in December. This well-equipped resort has a swimming pool, gym and spa, so you’ll have your every whim catered for (just bear in mind that pool opening times depend on the weather conditions). You’ll have your meals at the hotel’s buffet restaurant, and there’s a lobby bar for drinks.
This four-star hotel is well-rated by travellers, with a score of 4.5 on Tripadvisor. It’s a short walk to the beach - five minutes or so - and less than a 15-minute drive to Alanya town, with its bars and shops, historic castle and sandy beaches.
This break starts at £329pp for two adults. What a bargain and what a lovely getaway just before Christmas!
The details: Seven nights at Avena Resort & Spa Hotel, Antalya on an all-inclusive basis from £329pp based on two sharing. Flights from Liverpool on 5 December.
