This month’s ‘Rising Star’ on TravelSupermarket’s Holiday Hotlist is Rhodes, and so I thought I’d have a look for the best deals on this beautiful Greek island.
Rhodes has everything from long sandy beaches and lively resorts to the historic cobbled streets of Rhodes Old Town. And October can be a great time to visit if you’re looking for a more chilled atmosphere. Plus, prices drop once the school summer rush is over, and so do the temperatures – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you’d rather explore without the intense heat of July and August. Average maximum daily temperatures are still a lovely 24⁰C across the month.
So let’s take a look at my finds, from a bargain room-only deal in Pefkos to an adults-only five-star stay in Kolymbia. And the best bit? They’re all under £500 per person!

Let’s kick off with an absolute bargain. For just £276 per person, you can fly from Manchester to Rhodes and spend seven nights at the three-star Pefkos Beach Hotel this October.
Don’t be put off by the star rating, either. This hotel is highly rated, with guests regularly praising its friendly staff, cleanliness and relaxed atmosphere. There’s an outdoor pool set in gardens, plus a poolside bar for drinks and snacks when you fancy staying put for the day.
This deal is room only, but I actually think that works well here. Pefkos is a laid-back beach resort on Rhodes’ east coast, close to Lindos, and while things do start winding down towards the end of October, you should still find a good choice of restaurants and bars open during this mid-October stay. The beach is only around a seven-minute walk away too, so this is a great-value base for getting out and exploring.
Holiday details: Seven nights at the Pefkos Beach Hotel on a room-only basis with Sembo from £276pp based on two adults sharing. Flights from Manchester on 16 October.

I’ve found another great deal to a really well-rated hotel, this time flying from Birmingham. And if you like booking a holiday knowing your checked baggage and transfers are already sorted, you’ll love this one – both are included in the £319 per person price.
You’ll spend seven nights at the bright and modern three-star Orion Hotel, with a double or twin room and breakfast included. There’s a large outdoor pool, pool bar and two restaurants, but one of the biggest draws is the location: Faliraki Beach is just 350m away. This long sandy stretch is one of the best-known beaches on Rhodes, with clear water and plenty of places to eat and drink along the seafront.
Faliraki is well known for its nightlife, but visit in early October and you’ll find a much calmer version of the resort than you would at the height of summer. There should still be plenty going on, just without quite the same peak-season party atmosphere.

I’ve featured a Cook’s Club deal before because this chain of hotels ticks so many boxes: modern design, excellent reviews and, in this case, fantastic value for a five-star stay.
The adults-only Cook’s Club Kolymbia has two pools, regular DJ sets and three restaurants, with recent guests particularly praising its stylish rooms, cleanliness, food and relaxed atmosphere.
The price includes easyJet flights from Gatwick, a Deluxe Double or Twin room and breakfast. And whilst you can pay £250 per person to add dinner to the deal, I’d personally put that money towards eating locally instead. After all, the closest beach is only a ten-minute walk away with restaurants nearby.
